Robyn Metcalfe is History Lecturer, Research Fellow, and director, of the newly formed Food Lab, for The Center for Sustainable Development at The University of Texas at Austin’s School of Architecture. She teaches classes in Modern European Food History and Modern European Metropolis.

She is the author of Meat, Commerce and the City: The London Food Market, 1800-1855, published in April 2012.
Recently moved from Boston to Austin, she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, visiting markets and farms, and trying out new foods. She is happily married with her husband and two kids.
